Seventeen hundred twenty

1720.  No, I'm not referring to a monumental year in history, though I'm sure important things may have happened then.  I digress.  You history buffs out there can leave your 1720 trivia in my comments caption.

1720: the number of stems of flowers in my shop right now, awaiting their destinies as sweet little pieces of a Bride's wedding vision.  You know what this means for me - less typing, more working!!

So I'll be signing off for a few days...many flower buckets are calling my name right now!

Classy Ivory

Just got a sweet email from a Bride with the gift of all gifts....pictures!!  Here's one of her super sophist bouquet: calla lilies, roses, lisianthus, with touches of the BEST smelling gardenias as an honor to her mom who also had gardenias in her bouquet.  Isn't that just the most PRECIOUS thing?

Claiming to be white trash just got harder

After many years of being content with having hand-me-down furniture (namely my parents'), this week we FINALLY got some new stuff.  And boy, was it time.

This home decorating thing is new to me.  I do not pore over Pottery Barn magazine like it should be canonized, and I had no clue what to get when we first started.  In other words, I have no interior decorating style.  Yikes.  However, (minor but totally deserved plug here), let me just say the gals over at Model Home Furnishings in Grover Beach are the bomb.  I showed Michelle a grainy iPhone picture of my current living room setup, and like 40 minutes later I had picked out and ordered new stuff - and for cheap, too!  I fell for an Ecru (uh, white) sofa / loveseat set, I know it's risky getting white furniture, but I love love love it.  Sorry guys, but we won't be having any more grape juice fight parties :).

I definitely need to replace my clashing red curtains and put some stuff up on the walls, but not a bad start, ei?

I don't mean to be demanding or anything, but...you HAVE GOT to click over to the Alders Photography blog to check out our recent wedding @ Tiber Canyon Ranch.  Gorgeous, pictures, lovely bride and groom, and a little bit of oohing and aahing at a wedding done right.  And when I mean right, I mean RIGHT!

Ok.  See you over there.  :)
